If you think your machine is not working properly:
Before you call out a Service Engineer check the following
points carefully. These checks could prevent a charge being
made calling out an Engineer.
If the programme does not start, check:
- The fuses are in working order.
- The door is closed properly, often has to 'click' shut.
If water will not enter, check:
- Have you turned on the tap?
- The water inlet hose is not kinked.
If the dishes are not clean, check:
- Was the correct programme selected? The programme has to be chosen according to the degree of soiling.
- Were the dishes stacked according
to manufacturer's recommendations?
NOTE: The water sprays must have access to the dishes from all sides - the baskets should not be overloaded. - Were the spray arms able to rotate freely? Open and try rotating the spray arm.
- Are the filters clean? The filters should be firmly seated, check they have been inserted correctly.
- Was there sufficient detergent? Check the required amount from brand of detergent being used.
- Was there sufficient salt? The salt container should be checked regularly. If the water hardness in your area is over 16° and your dishwasher is operating without salt, the result may be affected adversely, showing white and yellow chalk deposits remaining on the dishes. You can check the correct degree of water hardness with your local Water Authority.
Limescale can reduce the lifespan of your dishwasher, and build-up can produce nasty odours and this will have an affect on the efficiency of your dishwasher.We recommend calgon descaler sanitiser this helps stop bad odours and lime scale on the heating element which can help prevent machine breakdowns
